Methane gas (LNG) is BOOMING in communities across the Gulf Coast, driving a hellish landscape of fiery, potentially toxic methane flares and contributing to a future of worsening climate change, biodiversity loss, damaged food systems, and public health impacts. We used projections and AR tools to transmit the messages of Louisianan activists fighting for their communities to make sure that our leaders see their call to action.

The Biden Administration could approve a whopping 20 methane gas export projects. CP2, proposed by Venture Global in Cameron Parish, LA, is one of the largest of these projects and could produce as much greenhouse gas emissions as 32 coal plants (18x the Willow Project)! 🤢 #StopCP2

We call upon President Biden to be a climate leader and end this reckless gas export boom, starting with CP2. President Joe Biden, Secretary Jennifer Granholm—this expansion of dirty methane gas is only a bridge to more suffering, especially for poor & BIPOC communities and the fishermen & shrimpers who fear for their livelihoods.
