Days after a deadly shooting that claimed the life of a 22-year-old near Alki Beach, Seattle Councilmember Rob Saka held a community meeting to discuss the pressing issue of public safety.
The council member said the gathering was a chance to open up dialogue between city officials and residents shaken by the recent violence.
Alongside Saka, interim Police Chief Sue Rahr and citywide councilmember Tanya Woo were part of the selection of leaders attending the event at Alki United Church of Christ.
