Why Rob Burnett was sitting in Dave's chair, guest-hosting: Before the show taping, Dave had staffers put their ID cards into a drum-bin, then, throughout the hour he would select at random three who would host the show. Rob, then Late Night's Talent Assistant, was the first to be selected. Later in the show were Stupid Pets Coordinator Sue Hall and Production Assistant Bridget Jackson.
