Pearl has had a lot of dark moments in Steven Universe, but Rebecca Sugar revealed something that may have been too much for the animated series, as the creator shared sketches of Pearl shapeshifting into Greg Universe in an attempt to win over her true love, Rose Quartz. While this is already messed up, it has some insane implications, so not only do I wanna touch on this concept art but the other two instances of Pearl shapeshifting in the series, to stage Pink Diamond's shattering and a game of Steven Tag, to illustrate how shapeshifting has been reflective of her growth throughout the series!
