Beaumont the crab is tired of eating nothing but sand. He longs for the delicious, leafy greens which reside across the coarse expanse of beach. To reach this green Nirvana, he must overcome indecision, buzzards, distemper, rabid dogs, huge feet, hallucinations, gigantic logs, dementia, heat exhaustion and lethargy.
