Welcome back everyone to my studio. It has been a while since I have posted a video and to be honest I thought more of you would have something to say about it. In stead I have received nothing but positive words from you all and I deeply appreciate the kindness and understanding. My first two markets of the year went off without a hitch and coming up on July 7th I will be having a reception at the Millcreek Library in Salt Lake City where I will be their resident artist for the month of July. Please be sure to stop by Friday July 7th between 6-8pm for a chance to meet me and receive my first ever resident feature as well as enjoy some live local music and refreshments.

More news: I have been working towards a new realm of my career withing the wellness community and I am excited to announce I have just landed my dream job. I will be spending my non painting time learning and working with a fabulous team at a local health and nutrition store and I cant wait to see where this new path takes me. I am most excited to be in an environment with people who are incredibly supportive of my other passions which will leave me more time to work on content right here for you all.

I wanted to take some time to thank all of my members for hanging out there patiently awaiting new content as well as supporting me by providing me with the income to purchase more supplies and keep painting. I have just received a new box of canvases and revamped some of my paints so I am ready to rock and roll!

Now on to the painting… I was driving home a couple weeks ago and saw some colors in the sky as a thunderstorm was rolling through the valley here in Salt Lake City and I just had to create something from it. I have never actually painted lightning before so I was unsure if my idea would work out. Thankfully I was able to pull it through some of my challenge points and come out with a finished piece that I am in love with. I used one new color today which I will list below and I also am loving the richness of this purple. I hope you all like this piece as much as I do, please be sure to let me know in the comments.

I used all my Bob Ross Paints with the exception of one color – dioxazne Purple which was from Zen Art Supplies, as part of the Infinity line. My pallet:

Titanium White
Cad Yellow
Bright Orange – 2 part cad yellow 1.5 part bright red
Bright red
Alizarin Crimson
Phthalo Blue
Sap Green
Dioxazne Purple
Dark Sienna
Van dyke Brown

I wanted to do another Tony Anderson feature on this film so the songs you will be hearing are below:
Deep Waters
Tony Anderson
Resurrect
Tony Anderson
Nightingale
Tony Anderson

I hope you enjoy watching me paint today and I hope to have some more new content coming up soon! Thank you again so much for being a part of my community and helping me be successful with my art.

Smile and be happy friends.
