Another experiment on a TV-7M school lathe with slotting or slotting. The goal is to check the possibility of chiselling steel.

The basis was the old front shock absorber strut from a car with a rod diameter of 22mm. The stem material is rather soft, only surface carburizing is performed. But the outer diameter is very precisely machined, and this makes such rods simply indispensable in garage workshops.

If I manage to tune in to a more or less stable operation of the device, then in the future I will try to make a rather interesting part, which is very difficult or expensive to find.
