From a 1991 episode of "The Indoor Garden" TV series: Liz provides full care instructions and other useful and interesting information on these sturdy long-time houseplant favorites for lower light conditions: the Snake plant, the Cast Iron Plant, a Dracaena Janet Craig and an Aglaonema (Chinese Evergreen). She These plants can live with you for a very long time, if you care for them correctly!

This episode is chock full of good houseplant info. It includes propagating a snake plant, plant cleaning methods used at that time, and even a light-hearted segment on appreciating plants that live in shopping malls. At the end of the video Liz reads some letters sent by viewers. She gives advice on African violets, cleaning plants with mayonnaise and how to care for an Aloe vera plant. (In the 90's, writing letters to TV shows was the way to contact them!)

This episode is from the 1990's How-to TV program entitled "The Indoor Garden" which is all about growing houseplants. It is slightly edited from the original, mostly removing addresses and phone numbers that are no longer valid. This show was originally videotaped with VHS-Umatic professional videotape. The video was transferred to DVD and then converted to an HD .mp4 for YouTube.

This episode was made in 1991 at a florist in Washington, DC that is no longer there. This aired in the Washington, DC and Baltimore areas on community television and local PBS broadcast station, WHUT-TV on Saturday afternoons.
