Gone and almost forgotten, Bayard Rustin was an influential figure of the American civil rights movement, who many did not know about until the new movie RUSTIN ignited a renewed awareness of the man behind the historical march on Washington of 1963. Emmy-winning actor, Colman Domingo, stars as the eponymous hero in a career highlight of a performance and talked to Judita DaSilva about it, on the Award Contender series.
