The night train takes you from Hamburg via Copenhagen and Malmö to Stockholm. She is on the road for 14 hours, examining all the compartments, comparing prices, trying to get some sleep on the loungers, tasting the food in the on-board bistro and doing yoga exercises with passengers on the train platform in Malmö.

A spectacular route across the Great Belt with views of the sea and the green Swedish countryside. Meanwhile she meets hikers, people who have been displaced and passengers who last took the night train 50 years ago. What can the night train offer its passengers today?

If you want to avoid the stress of air travel but still want to take your vacation abroad, you are in good hands on the night train. In the evening you make yourself comfortable in the compartment, the train jerks along and the next day you have reached your desired destination. At least that's how it should ideally be.
