I'm back with another video on psychology careers! Here I speak about the basic route to get an Assistant Psychologist (AP) job, tailored to those who are just starting out. But for the most part, I'm providing consolations, exposing some tea around my own concerns around these jobs and potential reasons why they can be incredibly difficult to get.

Timestamps for those who would like to skip ahead:

0:29 What is an Assistant Psychologist (AP) and what do they do?
1:17 AP posts are hard to get
3:00 How to search for an AP job
4:15 The application process
8:30 How to prepare for an AP interview
10:50 Personal tip 1 - It's a timed race!
13:19 Personal tip 2 - It's an unequal race!
14:57 Personal tip 3 - Try not to take rejections too personally
16:55 Personal tip 4 - Get feedback!

I started this YouTube channel simply because there just isn't enough YouTube content around psychology, making it seem like a mysterious/inaccurately highbrow career to be in. I am a YouTube fiend so finally bit the bullet to try to de-mystify the process and engage more people into psychology and mental health myself.
