Individuals with narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) look for specific traits in potential partners. Unfortunately, autistic adults often check many of these boxes, making us vulnerable to narcissistic abuse. In this video, I explain NPD, narcissistic abuse, and why autistic people seem to attract those with narcissistic personality disorder. I share my own perspective as an autistic woman and survivor of narcissistic abuse. I also share several personal stories that highlight what narcissistic abuse actually looks like (trigger warning, see chapters below to navigate around these stories if needed).
