Ingredients:
Fennel (approx. 500 g)
Approx. 20 g butter or oil (2-3 tbsp)
Fry the fennel over medium heat for about 3-4 minutes on each side.
30 g hard cheese (e.g. Parmesan)
30 g breadcrumbs
Salt and pepper
A little nutmeg - optional
Bake in the preheated oven at 180°C for about 15-20 minutes until the crust is golden brown.
The delicious gratinated fennel with a Parmesan crust is ready.

Preparation:
1. Clean and wash the fennel bulb and cut it into pieces about 0.5 cm wide.

2. Now fry the fennel in a pan on each side for 3-4 minutes and then place it in a casserole dish and season with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
3. In a bowl, mix the grated Parmesan with the breadcrumbs.
4. The Parmesan crumbs are then generously sprinkled over the fennel and placed in the preheated oven at 180°C.
5. After 15-20 minutes, the gratinated fennel with a golden brown crust is ready and ready to be served. Serve with a green salad or potatoes or crispy white bread. Enjoy!
