Recount Text Kelas 8 Semester 2

Recount Text is text which is tells/retells past events or past experience.

The purpose of recount text :
1. To tell past events/ experiences to the readers.
2. To entertain the readers about someone's experiences

Types of Recount Text:
1. Personal Recount.
2. Factual Recount.
3. Biographical Recount.
4. Imaginative Recount

Language Features of Recount Text
1. Using Simple Past Tense : to be was, were Verb 2: swam. drove, played
2. Using action Verbs : walked, ran , etc
3. Using linking verbs : to be, taste, seem. become
4. Introducing Specific participant : I , we, my family, my class

The generic structure of recount text:
1. Orientation : Who. what, when, where
2. Events : Series of events
3. Reorientation
