In this video, we look at solving a problem when you want to add a door to a location that does not have a header. We are going to use a method in which we make our own header using a header board (Which we recommend using on all mounting projects). We will also go over the installation of a soft stop for a sling barn door.

Step 1: Identify how far past the wall you want your door to go - 00:35
Step 2: Mark the measurements on your wall for header placement - 2:40
Step 3: Make sure to check all measurements are level with each other - 3:47
Step 4: Mark & Pre-drill your header - 4:47
Step 5: Mount your header - 7:35
Step 6: Mount slider rail to the header - 9:43
Step 7: Installing a soft stop for your door - 11:57
Step 8: Installing the track rollers to your door - 17:35
Step 9: Installing a C-Guide - 21:07
Step 10: Install the final Softstop part to the door - 23:16
