Hey everyone. The boys played an awesome show last night. They were much tighter than when I previously saw them last year. There’s a few things to point out, but I’ll start with the most notable.

Wedemeyer informed me that both Bolt and Christian were sick. Bolt’s illness caused songs like “Wild Honey”, “Darlin”, and “I Can Hear Music” to be cut from the set for the night. And due to Christian’s illness, Carl Wilson (video) sang “God Only Knows”, and Mike sang most of “Help Me Rhonda”. Despite their troubles, and the shorter set, they rocked the place!

Mike sounded pretty good tonight. Much more in tune than last year. He sounds a little rough in a few spots, but remember, they played four hours of music in a singular day (2pm + 7pm show). That’s not an easy job for a 83 y/o.

The setlists have been deeper recently with songs like “Still Cruisin”, “You’re So Good to Me”, “Don’t Back Down”, “I Can Hear Music”, and “Let Him Run Wild” popping in and out. Even from last year, songs like “The Warmth of The Sun”, “Good To My Baby”, and “Wild Honey” have been played frequently. We’re all loving this new setlist era.

I highly recommend that you go see these guys. A recording from someone’s phone doesn’t do justice. You just have to be there.
