Elle (2016) by Paul Verhoven starring Isabelle Huppert is a social panorama in which we see a successful business woman's varied social life but also see her as she deals with sexual assault and her serial killer father.

This endlessly elegant masterpiece is graced with a silky slinky theme by Oscar winner Anne Dudley. This theme, reminiscent a bit of Jerry Goldsmith's theme for Basic Instinct also by Verhoeven, moves in sensual textures even as it conveys the complexity of the lead character.
