I broke my record for the most distant object I have ever photographed. I photographed a quasar near m97. This object is over 10 billion light years away. But it has to be said that it is difficult at this range of distances to make precise statements about the distance.
I used a Newtonian telescope with a focal length of 750mm. To make sure that the object I photographed was really this quasar, I used well-known databases and compared them with my image. The next time you photograph this object, please take a look if you can also see the quasar in your picture.
