Ingredients for Masala Fish Delight Recipe

For Marination:
Fish: 1 kg
Salt: ½ tsp
Turmeric: ½ tsp
Mustard Oil: 2 tbsp

For Curry Paste (blend with water):
Ginger: 1 inch
Garlic: 1 tbsp
Green Chillies: 4
Fresh Coriander Leaves: A few
Fennel Seeds: 1 tsp
Black Pepper: 1 tsp
Yellow Mustard Seeds: 1 tsp
Cumin Seeds: ½ tsp

For Cooking:
Mustard Oil: For frying fish
Onions: 4, chopped
Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder: 1 tsp
Degi Mirch Powder: 1 tsp
Coriander Powder: 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder: ½ tsp
Salt: To taste
Tomato Puree: Made from 2 tomatoes
Water: As required
Fresh Coriander Leaves: A few, for garnish
Garam Masala: ½ tsp

Instructions :

1. *Marinate the Fish:*
In a large bowl, combine the fish pieces with salt, turmeric, and mustard oil. Mix well, ensuring each piece is coated evenly. Set aside for 20-30 minutes.

2. *Prepare the Curry Paste:*
In a blender, add ginger, garlic, green chillies, coriander leaves, fennel seeds, black pepper, yellow mustard seeds, and cumin seeds. Blend into a smooth paste using a little water as needed.

3. *Fry the Fish:*
Heat mustard oil in a pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, gently fry the marinated fish pieces until golden brown on both sides. Remove and set aside.

4. *Cook the Masala:*
In the same pan, add the chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
Add the prepared curry paste and sauté until the raw smell disappears and the oil begins to separate from the masala.
Add Kashmiri red chilli powder, degi mirch powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Cook for a minute.

5. *Add Tomato Puree:*
Stir in the tomato puree and cook until the mixture thickens and oil separates again.

6. *Simmer the Fish:*
Add the fried fish pieces to the pan and gently coat them with the masala.
Pour in water as required to achieve the desired consistency. Cover and simmer on low heat for about 10-15 minutes, allowing the fish to absorb the flavors.

7. *Final Touches:*
Sprinkle garam masala and fresh coriander leaves. Stir gently.

8. *Serve:*
Serve the Masala Fish Delight hot with steamed rice, naan, or roti. Enjoy the aromatic and flavorful meal!
