I'm using a cone 6 white stoneware from Highwater Clays called Little Loafers. It's my standard clay of choice for functional ware.

Your flute can be in any scale; it doesn't have to be C Major like the demo. Here's some scale info.
Major Scales overview
C: C, D, E, F, G, A, B, C
C#/Db: C#, D#, E#, F#, G#, A#, B#, C# / Db, Eb, F, Gb, Ab, Bb, C, Db
D: D, E, F#, G, A, B, C#, D

Other scales you might want to look up (Google is your friend) include minor pentatonic and major pentatonic.
