Since the sun shines rarely and briefly, our solar collector does not heat the water enough. We have an alternative system for water heating from wood stove (suitable for off grid). We are installing a heat exchanger in the chimney of the wood-burning stove, which will heat the boiler. We will still have free hot water. Homesteading, slow living, country life, no talk just work
