Mother cat Mila never licks kittens and does not react to kittens when they meow.
Why is this happening?
You can often hear that animals are not depressed and endure stress at the level of instincts and adaptation in behavior. But looking at our cat Mila, we doubt it. She was born in 2022 in Ukraine and her childhood fell on a difficult time. She is still afraid of all loud noises and any touch. We thought motherhood would change her. But the mother cat never licks the kittens and does not react to their meows. She feeds them well and lies quietly. She even carries them around when she decides to go elsewhere. But she is not able to give kittens as much love as a mother cat usually gives. Her life began with fear and it sits tightly in her cat's soul.
