St.Thomas and #StJohn: Day at Trunk Bay on #NCLEncore Cruise. We arrive in St. Thomas and travel to St. John for a day at #TrunkBayNationalPark. Arrived before sunrise in St Thomas port. Got off the ship early to catch a taxi to take us to the 9:00am ferry to get to St John. This is an excursion you can easily do on your own. Once we got to St John we caught a taxi that took us to Trunk Bay National Park. Arriving early was key to getting a spot on the beach with some shade. The sand was soft white and the water was sky blue. There were a number of folks snorkeling around what appeared to be an underwater trail. We spent an amazing day at a gorgeous beach! They had some food available, beverages, rum drinks such as Pain Killers and decent restrooms. Brought home a Trunk Bay t-shirt as a fun souvenir. We did some shopping in St John before taking the ferry back at 3:00pm. Easily got back to the Encore in St Thomas before the all aboard time. Came back hungry and looking forward to a delicious dinner with family.
