what is that crash bug?

in short its a bug which appears if you're doing a very good run on any infinite planet (let it be Efemena, 4.4km) and at some moment the game freezes and just crashes for no reason. the bug was discovered around two weeks ago and hasn't been fixed yet, which stops me from reaching 10km. the bug happens to everyone!!! not me!!
