True Death is a mechanic that was cut from Demon's Souls, and for the longest time, we've only had remnants of it from character dialogue and unused text files. I've restored what was left of True Death in the files.

Upon death in soul form, the player will lose all of their souls, and their level is reset to their starting level. However, if while in soul form the player is able to retrieve their blood mark they will be revived.

The mechanic is also supposed to reset all of your weapons levels to the starting level, but, that part of it was cut completely, and I could not create a system to recreate it.
