Join me In this Video as i will be taking you Guys along on How raising kids in a foreign country with two different Cultures as an immigrant mom of 3 living in Belgium ( Nigeria & Belgium Culture) can be both rewarding and challenging at the same time .

Honestly, it hasn’t been easy as an immigrant mom of 3 kids living in Belgium in raising my kids born here in Belgium 🇧🇪 because of the way their Culture is. I had to learn the Language, their culture, sights etc so as to be able to teach my kids these as well because Learning the local language of the country where you are living is absolutely critical for your kid’s identity development. It will allow them to “fit in” better socially, make more friends, understand their environment, the local culture and be more independent.And at the same time too, the African in me, still has to teach them our African morals, ways of life, cultural differences outside of the home.
This helps them respect others and themselves.

So as an Immigrant Mom, i try to find common grounds and involve both cultures in their life’s, so they feel a sense of belonging and security.
