Building a drawer doesn't have to be complicated. Using a pocket hole jig you can build a basic, and strong, drawer without the need for more difficult joinery techniques! See all tools and materials needed below!

DRAWER SIZE in video --- Frame is 16" deep x 11.5" wide, Face is (12-7/8" wide) x (5-1/2") tall
** I have listed everything I USED, your drawers will likely be different dimensions than mine, so you will need to think about that when purchasing YOUR wood. Just make sure to stick will 1" thick board (actual thickness is 3/4" when measured) and these directions will work for you! **

- (1) 1 x 4 x 6 pine board (longer/more if your drawer will be larger than in the video)
- (1) 1 x 6 x 4 pine board (longer if your drawer is wider than in the video)
- (1) 1/8" Masonite Board (or hardboard)

- Pocket Hole Jig Starter Kit (I used this one - Canada Link http://bit.ly/2hQT23f || US Link http://go.magik.ly/ml/7tbo/ )
- Drill
- Wood Drill Bits
- Measuring Tape
- Mitre Saw/Chop Saw (or get wood cut at hardware store)
- Roberston Head (square head) screwdriver or driver bit
- Table Saw (UNLESS you will be attaching wood cleats to hold your drawer bottom, see video for details)
- Sanding block
- Clamps
- Speed Square (optional)

- 1-1/4" Coarse-Thread Pocket Hole Screws (for softwoods)
- 1-1/4" Wood Screws (4 needed per drawer)
- Drawer Slides (if you're going to be using them)
- Sandpaper
- Pencil
- Finishing Nails & Wood Glue (if you'll be attaching wood cleats, see video for details)

WOOD CUTTING LIST (per drawer)
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
- From your 1 x 4 x 6 -- cut 2 SIDE pieces of equal lengths. This will be the depth of your drawer. This should be 1/2" from touching the back of the furniture when drawer is pushed in.
- From your 1 x 4 x 6 -- cut a FRONT and a BACK piece of equal length. REMEMBER front and back pieces will fit BETWEEN side pieces!!!
- From your 1 x 6 x 4 -- cut a drawer FACE piece that will be the width of your drawer hole MINUS 1/6" from each side (or 1/8" total from the width).
