The main change is the removal of all red stakes around watered penalty areas other than on the right-hand side of the 13th fairway and the section between the 15th and 16th holes. The Rules Guru explains that Southport Golf Club will use the natural definition of a penalty area in accordance with the rules of golf to declare a red penalty area.
