This officially marked the final day of our 2023/24 skiing season in the Dolomites. Having never fully captured the SUPER 8 ski tour at Cinque Torri near Passo Falzarego, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity. However, much like in our last adventure at Portavescovo (   • Arabba - Portavescovo: the best of sp...  ), we were greeted with an abundance of snow, leading to the closure of the entry slopes from Averau to Croda Negra due to avalanche risks.

Skiing, a sport deeply intertwined with nature, reminds us that despite the plethora of human-made artifacts and facilities, nature ultimately reigns supreme. Thus, we adapted. Plan B was straightforward: We immersed ourselves fully in the Cinque Torri area, culminating in an incredible final run on the Lagazuoi, starting from the renowned Terrace of the Dolomites.
