Born in Girdler, Kentucky, Lance Corporal Hinkle's career in the miliary took him all around the country and to Vietnam before finding his home in lily, KY.

This an oral history project by the Laurel County Public Library. This project collects and preserves their stories for current and future generations.

Our goal is to share the human impact. We are focusing on the individuals instead of specific battles or wars. We want you to see their faces, hear their stories, and gain knowledge from their experiences.
