This is me making a Pvlace type sample for Southside and 808 Mafia. I started off with a simple piano melody as the foundation. Then, I added some vibrato bells from Omnisphere to support the first layer. Next, I added some pads from Kontakt and various textures to add color to the sample. To finish things off, I added a simple flute melody which really brought the whole sample together. Let me know what everybody thinks of this. Hopefully you guys learned something along the way.
