At Labuhan Haji Beach, East Lombok Regency, the phenomenon of receding sea water is often used by residents to look for marine biota such as shellfish, fish and also seaweed which can be used as a cooking menu. Usually, residents from various regions in East Lombok Regency flock to the Madaq area.

In Labuhan Haji District, there are several places that are usually crowded with people when the sea water is low or Madaq, namely Lengkok Beach and Darmawangi Beach in Suryawangi Village and also Montong Meong Hamlet Beach, Labuhan Haji Village which is known as Sunrise Land Lombok. Madaq itself usually occurs several times a month, such as during the full moon and also at the end of the month
