Simple custom range hood for beginners. In an earlier video I went over building the range hood frame. In today's video I finish it up by putting the boards around the outside. We went with a 7" MDF plank and a nice piece of birch for the skirt and top.
The 10 degree angle I talked about while building the range hood frame comes into play during this finishing steps as well.
Key points:
1) YOU CAN DO THIS
2) Do not rush
3) Build a good frame first
4)Choose you facing material
5) decide on your angles. With planking I recommend using the same side tilt and front tilt angle. This will make lining up the plank seams easier.
6) Don't get discouraged if you have gaps in your corners. they can be filled.
7) Measure twice then cut
