Spoiler alert if you don’t want to watch the video…Odie’s passed the test. I tested water, ketchup, baby formula, wine, oil, pop, coffee, a hot pan and…a night in the rain. I let everything sit on the surface for at least 1 hour. Before we go too far, I am not sponsored by Odie’s. They don’t send me any products. I did these tests for my own peace of mind and to ensure I am using a finish that is durable and safe for my clients and will keep their pieces beautiful and protected. My sanding prep was 80-400 grit followed by a grey micro fine finishing pad and wiping with water between each grit. For the application process I applied super penetrating oil with a grey pad, 3 days later original and 2 days later wood butter. I let each finish sit on the surface for about 60 minutes then I wipe ALL of the finish off the tabletop.
