「全日本ロボット相撲大会」は、ロボット作りを通して
「ものづくり」の楽しさを知ってもらう場を提供することを目的に、
1989年より開催している国内最大級のロボット競技大会です。

ロボット相撲は、参加者が自作したロボットを力士に見立て、
技術とアイデアで相手を土俵から押し出すことで勝負が決まります。

今回3年ぶりに相撲の聖地 国技館にロボット力士たちが一堂に会し、
横綱を目指した熱戦が繰り広げられました。

こちらの映像は当日2023/12/9(土)に予選、12/10(日)に決勝に開催された
「全日本ロボット相撲全国大会2023」のダイジェスト映像となります。

All Japan Robot Sumo Tournament aims to provide opportunities to learn the joy of manufacturing through fabricating robots. It started in 1989 and is one of the largest robot competitions in Japan.

Robot Sumo simulates the robots made by the participants as sumo wrestlers and aims to win the match by pushing opponent out of the ring by using their skills and ideas.

Robots gathered at this year's final round held at Ryogoku Kokugikan Stadium, a sanctuary of Sumo, first time in the last three years and the competitors battled eagerly for the Grand Champion.

The video highlights the qualification session on Saturday, 9th December, 2023 and the Grand Final Session on Sunday, 10th December of All Japan Robot Sumo Tournament 2023.
