The 500lb SuperCamel takes to the sand dunes! I never would have anticipated the Tiger 800 XC to do so well in pure deep sand, especially with 80/20 street/dirt Michelin Anakee Adventure tires. Truly shows how horsepower, wheelspin, and momentum makes all the difference in deep sand.

Some technical info: The tires have almost 2000 miles of wear on them, mostly on road, the rear was aired down to 15psi, the front was kept at 36psi. The struggle is getting moving and into 3rd gear, but once you're there, just keep on the throttle and it'll scoot right along. Ignore what the front is doing. All control is from the rear tire - it doesn't matter how floppy the handlebars get - as long as the rear wheel is moving sand, it'll track straight. Put as much weight on the rear as possible.
