Here's a first look, initial impressions, and light review of the highly-anticipated Motocompacto scooter.

I've always been a massive Honda fan, and when the spiritual successor to the original 1980s Motocompacto dropped, I knew I had to have it.

I placed an order for two the day that they were available for purchase online (one for myself, one as a gift) and got them a few weeks later.

Whereas the original Motocompacto was a mini-sized, street legal motorcycle, the new model is a much less powerful electric scooter, folding up roughly into the size of a briefcase (and resembling a white folding table).

Unfortunately on Day 1 I broke the part of the handlebar responsible for locking the handlebar in place for carrying. I will be bringing the scooter to Honda to see what repair options are. I'll provide an update on that.
