It was time to replace the stock Sram X-Sync 2 chainring on my Giant Trance so I figured why not make a video to show some tips and tricks on how to have a successful installation. The most important part of the install is making sure you purchase the correct offset and tooth count for your front chainring. If you go with a higher tooth count you should check to see if you have clearance from your frame, otherwise damage to your frame may occur. I did notice that you can go from a Sram SX basic chainring to a higher level like GX chainring with no issues, if anything you can gain some weight-loss and performance from spending a little more money for a better chainring. Thanks for watching and I hope you subscribe to my channel for more videos like this!
