We all know the big boys of survival horror. Titles like Resident Evil and Silent Hill are quick to jump to anyone's mind when pondering the genre, but less appreciated is a series that has been running in the background for years. A relatively new horror franchise that takes all of the best gameplay and aesthetic elements from its ancestors, and combines them with a fresh feeling, hard lean into the game's Japanese origins. A new player in the survival horror game that had the benefit of coming late to the party and thus, gaining the ability to learn from the mistakes of its ancestors. Essentially Tecmo got to jump into the genre at a point where it was near its most refined and efficient form. So is there any enjoyment to be had in hunting ghosts with a camera?
