As My Hero Academia and Jujutsu Kaisen come to a conclusion, Weekly Shonen Jump finds themselves in quite the sticky situation. It's been a while since Shonen Jump has faced a dilemma like this, where there really doesn't seem to be any manga that'll immediately replace the heavy hitters that have brought in so much revenue for Shonen Jump for so long. Back when Naruto and Bleach ended, there were some successors ready to take up the void left behind, but this time, Shonen Jump isn't as well positioned. Sure, there's newer manga like Undead Unluck and Sakamoto Days, but those don't seem like they'll be hitting the levels of popularity that My Hero Academia and Jujutsu Kaisen did. Even Demon Slayer, which has been over for a while in terms of the manga, will be wrapping up its anime with 3 final movies. There aren't any staple sports manga in Shonen Jump ever since Haikyuu and even Black Clover is in its final arc as well. Kagurabachi presents the possibility of a bright future, but that's just one manga. Is Shonen Jump really in trouble? Is it time to press the panic button?
