Cornell University’s intensive Introduction to Architecture summer program is designed for high school and college students interested in pursuing a college degree or career in architecture.

The six-week, six-credit program introduces you to architectural ideas and principles as well as to methods of exploring architectural issues in a studio setting. The heart of the program is the design studio, which is held in the afternoons and puts into practice what you learn during morning lectures and workshops.

The program is taught in the Rem Koolhaas-designed Milstein Hall on the Cornell campus, by faculty from Cornell’s Department of Architecture. It also incorporates portfolio development, periodic reviews by invited faculty and guest critics, and field trips.
