Thermoelectric coolers keep the temperature of the object in balance, regardless of the surrounding temperature, while reducing the temperature of an object below the ambient temperature. An active cooling system of Peltier heat transfer elements that can be used for applications ranging from milliwatts to kilowatts.

Most thermoelectric cooler modules can pump 3-6 watts/cm2 per surface area. These coolers are also available in the market as peltier, and their price varies depending on the amount of power they draw. Today, thermoelectric coolers between 45 watts and 545 watts are available at affordable prices.

When the cold part of the module reaches –40C, heat pumping is interrupted and the heat pump loses its efficiency (efficiency drops to zero). That's why it's most efficient between -5 and -15C. At this point, the temperature changes its highest value to DeltaT (
