Welcome to my channel! This is Andy from I love languages. Let's learn different languages/dialects together.

Special Thanks to Hafiz Umar Shahid

Urdu is an Indo-Aryan language primarily spoken in South Asia. It is Pakistan's national language and lingua franca, where it is also an official language alongside English. The Constitution recognizes Urdu in India and has official status in several states. Urdu is a Persianised register of the Hindustani language, sharing much of its vocabulary, phonology, syntax, and grammar with Hindi, making them mutually intelligible in casual conversation. However, as the formality of the language increases, mutual intelligibility decreases due to Urdu drawing formal vocabulary from Persian and Hindi from Sanskrit.

Punjabi is an Indo-Aryan language native to the Punjab region of Pakistan and India. It has approximately 113 million native speakers, making it one of the most widely spoken native languages globally. It is the most widely spoken first language in Pakistan, with 80.5 million native speakers as of the 2017 census. In India, it is the 11th most widely spoken language, with 31.1 million native speakers according to the 2011 census. A significant overseas diaspora also speaks Punjabi.

This video is created for educational, language awareness, and language preservation purposes. By raising awareness about linguistic diversity, the video seeks to foster a greater respect and recognition for various languages, particularly those that are endangered or underrepresented. Additionally, it contributes to the preservation of languages by documenting and sharing linguistic knowledge, thus ensuring that these languages and their cultural heritage are not lost to future generations.
