At a whopping $449, it's a lot to pay.
I'm not sponsored by JBL or Marshall in anyway. This speaker was purchased by me for review. My conclusion is that if you don't need the WIFI or portability, the Marshall's provide equal sound quality for a lower price point.

To summarize, the best marshall speakers are definitely getting some serious competition from JBL and their new Authentics line. But is the JBL 300 actually that much better or just an overpriced luxury bluetooth speaker? I think while the sound and build are phenomenal, there is some better value in the marshall Acton and Stanmore - and the Tufton is better for outdoors because it actually is a little water resistant whereas the 300 is not at all. Its a toss up on wether you need the wifi or not to me.
