We caught up with Mike Portnoy on the Uproar Tour in late August 2010 before he announced he will no longer be a part of Dream Theater. In part 1 he talks about getting involved with Avenged Sevenfold, bonding with the band over Jimmy The Rev Sullivan death, and using the Rev's drum parts to record Nightmare.
