Bickle says a prophet told him to go from STL to KC. Reitz says he invited Bickle.

A podcaster should contact Reitz and see if he'll talk. He has stories, lots of stories, about Bickle. They founded the church together.

(Julie R., Tara J.S., Blaise F., John C., Austin R., or even the KC Star might want to look into this.)

Not 100% sure, but don't recall Bickle mention Al once in the entire prophetic history. In a 2023 video clip, he says he started the church that ended up becoming IHOP. So why is he left out of the story? Because he knows things about Bickle that Bickle doesn't want anyone to know? Or just because Reitz's story is different from his and it's the truth.

Reitz told biographer and historian Daniel F that he left Bickle when he realized Bickle wasn't following God.

It is worth noting that "an unusual amount of boldness" is not a biblical or conventional standard by which to judge if something is God's will, yet Reitz presents this subjective experience as the basis of his prophetic invitation to get Bickle to KC.

In hindsight it is clear that Reitz misinterpreted an emotional experience as a prophetic experience and in his youthful zeal made the regrettable mistake of inviting Bickle to KC, the first step in a huge 40-year tragedy for many women and thousands of young people.
