I share notes and observations on what my process has been in thinking through how/where to do thinning of our existing over story to open up light and resource access for a future successional path of food forest plants we want to grow. Just an overview here, with hopefully some useful patterns and ideas to keep in mind. The topic is incredibly broad and complex to be sure, so consider this video one place to begin in the long term process of moving a landscape from one context to a more diverse, resilient and productive one. There is no actual beginning or 'end' with this, it's all a process you can be part of.
