The Roy Orbison Preservation Society would like to send our sincere condolences to the family, friends and fans of the late Sue Thompson who passed away September 23, 2021 at the age of 96.
Sue Thompson (born Eva Sue McKee) was an American pop and country music singer best known for the million selling hits "Sad Movies (Make Me Cry)", "Norman" and "Paper Tiger".
She Signed a contract with Mercury Records in 1950 releasing numerous singles between 1951 and 1954 and then to Decca Records from 1954 - 1957. After signing with Hickory Records in 1961 she would find her greatest success. Sue recorded two Roy Orbison compositions. "Suzie" in 1963 and "Bad Boy" in 1964.
