Alicante is a port city on Spain’s southeastern Costa Blanca, and the capital of the Alicante province, in the autonomous community of Valencia.
Alicante is famous for its warm climate, wonderful palm tree lined avenues and shopping streets. The original name of the city “Lucentum” translates as “City of Light”. This attractive town set on the Costa Blanca coast has spectacular golden beaches, huge plazas, wonderful parks and an attractive marina. The city provides lots of activities and entertainment as well as great restaurants and nightlife for tourists and locals alike.
