Asthma in children is common and prevalent problem involving all age groups. It compromises children’s growth, physical activities and schooling if not controlled and managed adequately.
World’s Asthma Day is observed this year on 7th May with the theme of “Asthma Education Empowers”.
Department of Paediatircs Ghurki Trust Teaching Hospital / Lahore Medical & Dental College arranged academic activity on 8th May 2024, under the dynamic supervision of Prof. Rizwan Waseem and his team. The workshop was well attended by faculty members, PGRs, and house officers.
The program was conducted in two parts. First presentations on the latest GINA guidelines by PGRs and then hands-on workshop on inhalers and nebulizer’s practical use and interpretations. Pulmonary function tests were performed on actual patients by participants and results were evaluated.
The event was graced by a worthy principal Maj. General ® Naeem Naqi. He encouraged the presenters, and participants and appreciated the departmental efforts and academic growth.
